ROOTS BOARD MEMBERS

Larry is the founder of Grace & Growth Consulting LLC. He is a financial coach and has previously served as the Director of New Student Orientation at Florida State University. Additionally, he worked an assessment analyst at Florida State University.

Adrian is the Technical Lead for the National Aeronautics & Space Administration(NASA). He is a former mentee of Roots and a cybersecurity and IT professional, currently serving in the US National Guard.

Jamesia serves as the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Shaw University. She is also founder of JE Unlimited LLC and works as an executive coach and speaker, hailing from Laurinburg.

Carla Myles is the Director of Finance & Controlling at MANN+HUMMEL. She is a Fayetteville State University alumnus with over 21 years of finance experience. Carla is passionate about developing Broncos.

Mr. Jenkins is a Fayetteville State University alumni who has been working with youth since 2012 through Parks and Rec. He is currently a Direct Account Manager, consultant,

and Keynote speaker. 

Jeff May is a nationally recognized motivational speaker, consultant, and strategist who has dedicated his career to inspiring positive change in the lives of individuals and communities. 

Dr. Adams is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel. He founded Carolina Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Fayetteville, NC. Dr. Adams is active with Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity and the Fayetteville State University Board of Trustees.

Dr. Quincy Mallory is a Methodist University alumnus who began his career at Methodist University as the Director of Testing and Tutoring, overseeing the Accessibility and Disability Resources Department and coordinating academic support for the entire athletic department. He is currently the Chief Diversity Officer for the University, where he sits on the president’s cabinet to advise him on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
