ROOTS BOARD MEMBERS

 He currently is the Chief Diversity Officer for the University, where he sits on the president’s cabinet to advise him on Diversity Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Dr. Adams is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He started his thriving practice in 2007.  His personal philanthropic efforts directly correlate with the demographics and mission of ROOTS.

She earned a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology from Wake Forest University and earned a doctorate from North Carolina State University in Psychology in the Public Interest. Dr. Jenkins’ professional and research interests focus on using a strengths-based approach to improve the academic and professional experiences of underrepresented groups in our society.

Nore is a certified teacher who has used her passion for career development to build relationships with local business and industry. She now serves as the Coordinator of Apprenticeships at Fayetteville Technical Community College students and area residents.

Mr. May is a national motivational speaker, consultant and strategist who has consistently sought to leave a significant impact on the next generation. He is also a former Youth Development Director for Cumberland County Schools.

Mr. Jenkins is a Fayetteville State University alumni who has been working with youth since 2012 through Parks and Rec. He is currently a Direct Account Manager, consultant,

and Keynote speaker.
